I love the location in Hoover, but this weekend, my dog was supposed to get his stitches out and they flooded and we needed to reschedule for the Alabaster location. My husband and I both called separately at different times and the receptionist took our phone numbers and said she would call us back in 5 minutes... well it's now the day our dog was supposed to get his stitches out. It's been a day and a half and she never called us back. Not to mention, she was very rude on the phone and seemed like she couldn't wait to hang up. She had no intention of reaching back out to us. So now we have to wait until our location opens back up to get our dogs stitches out. I do not recommend this location as it seems they do not care about their customers... Which is the only reason they have a job; it's to care about/for customers. Imagine if we had an emergency and needed to bring our pet in. This location is not dependable and just simply doesn't care.
Dr. Byrd takes a significant amount of time with each of our cats and is always mindful of their needs (as they're picky cats!). Not every receptionist is the best, but I usually end up working with one of the nicer ones (whose name escapes me). Our cats are on Banfield's wellness plan so we can take them in for free checkups whenever we please - we are always recommended to buy more expensive medicines, but aren't required to buy them through Banfield, which is nice.
All I can say is this place will turn a sick animal away without seeing them. This place is sad
I have been using the alabaster Banfield location for a few years now. Both my dogs see doctor Byrd, she is wonderful and so very caring! Always taking the time to explain everything, and treating my pets wonderfully. All of the receptionists I have encountered are always very friendly even when it is busy there and slammed. I defiantly feel welcome everyone I visit!
My pet died. The lady at the desk was very nice. Dr Byrd was also very helpful and nice. They waved my Office visit under the circumstances that one of my dogs had just passed. I'll be going back from now on.
