A place to find anything and everything for a very good price! The only downside is it's in a bit of a run down area so stay safe!
While I love digging around all of the 'goodies' at the Thrift Store, I am disappointed in the pricing in Alabaster. I've been going in there regularly, for 20+ years and in the last year, the prices have become ridiculous. Especially since the new thrift store opened down the road. I frequently see items purchased from Walmart, with Walmart pricing labels, at the same or higher than Walmart. For instance, a Christmas candle holder was priced at $3.88 at Walmart, but America's Thrift Store had a $3.99 label on it. Clothing from Walmart is regularly over-priced. These items are GIVEN to this company and they offer nothing in return, aside from a tax deduction. They aren't even a non-profit anymore! They are a FOR-PROFIT company, so every item that we GIVE them, they are selling at over inflated prices. What a hell of a profit!
This store is disgusting . I don't know if I should shop form what little they have on the shelves or the floor. Most of what they have has been thrown on the floor and the employees do not care and they are extremely high prices and when I asked one of the guys that work there a question he just ignored me and walked away save your money and go to a clean store this is just a junk place
Prices have gotten high in the last couple of years. Store also not as clean or organized. Still some great finds to be found, but you have to look harder than you used to.
Good variety and decent styles/brands but I must say the prices have increased a lot since last year and have caused me to look for other thrift stores for more reasonable prices.
While I don't always agree with their pricing, I do enjoy going in and finding a deal every now and again. It isn't as often or as exciting as it used to be, but it's fun.
